I continue speaking about the robot's hips. To make it volumetric I trimmed its perimeter with an aluminum sheet of one and half millimeter thickness.












These rings are meant for production of leg hinges.
 

 

I have fastened ball sockets of the legs of the robot. 
 



Then I proceeded to cutting into parts the big aluminum bar. It’s a pity there were no suitable sheet and round workpiece for the work!



 



 

 

 

 

 

Hinges for the knees and thigh of the robot are made from the workpieces. I mark and drill them...

 





Then I process them on the milling machine with the help of roll-over table.
 


I put a ball socket to the hip joint as well and shorten the thread to the required length.



 

 

 

Parts of the knee joint. A leather ring will be placed to the groove to provide some strain at the time of rotation.
 

The halves are tightened with a screw and locked with a nut. The nut is hidden under a decorative cap.
 

This is a thigh of the robot. It is made from an aluminum pipe that has dimensions 35x20 millimeters. The pipe is attached to the joints by means of M6 studs.

 

I cut out workpieces for the thigh housing. They are made from an aluminum sheet of one and half millimeters thickness.
 

 


 

 

I have cut out a workpiece for the shin.
 

Having spent a lot of time on bending I've got such a part for the robot.
 







I make foots of the robot. They are made from an angle bar that has dimensions 50x50 millimeters with walls of five millimeter thickness.
